Hometown: Fort Frances, ON

Son of an entrepreneur and dirt racer, Steve started winning races in go-karts at 10 years of age. You could say Steve's high school days were a little different than most, as the young Canadian was out winning National and Regional Championships racing snowmobiles on ice ovals. Arpin quickly became a force to be reckoned with on the ice and gained national exposure when he was picked up by Polaris Industries at the age of 17, becoming the youngest driver in history to race for the company. Steve not only went on to win the hearts of thousands of fans, but went on to win 7 World Championships by his 18th birthday.

A rocket ship launched his first day on clay, and he was Modified Track Champion at 15. Arpin went on to defend his title at Emo Speedway and did what is still unheard of today, Arpin won every heat and every feature event held at Emo Speedway for the next 3 years, bringing national attention to his small hometown track. Large Bounty's were put up for any driver that could beat Steve, but year after year, it was steve who took home the money. No question the handsome kid had a feel for the wheel.

Arpin broke into the American spotlight in Northern Wisconsin, where he becaome the youngest driver to capture the prestigious Wissota 100. Arpin's determination to rise to the top sent him chasing the biggest modified shows all across the country. By the end of February 2007, Arpin had already won 7 out of the first 9 races of the year, while picking up the UMP Dirtcar Winternationals Championship and the North Florida National Championship. Arpin then conquered North Dakota during the IMCA Dakota Classic Modified Tour by winning every heat and every feature for five straight nights against record fields, at tracks he had never raced at. Steve racked up 18 feature wins and 42 top 5 finishes, under 6 sanctioning bodies, while racing at 38 different tracks in 22 different states and Canada throughout the '07 season.

An A student of chassis dynamics and suspension geometry, this young entrepreneur, started Arpin Enterprises, LLC, where he builds and sells dirt racecars and now has some of the top modified driver's in the country racing his cars. To a modified driver, Steve is not only a racer, but someone that they can go to for advice and knowledge.

Hardships struck the 10,000 watt smile of Steve Arpin at the beginning of 2008, when a radiator hose blew off his car, spraying him with boiling water. Steve was severely burned on his hands, thighs, and groin and unable to race for two months. The race community sprang into action, fans and drivers from all walks of life joined together to help out the young Canadian. Kenny Wallace, Kenny Schrader, Bobby Labonte, Carl Edwards, and Jack Roush owner of Roush Fenway Racing were just a few that came out to help Steve. Taken by the kid's infectious personality and obvious talent, everyone watched as he recovered, and ride offers followed.

Steve was offered the opportunity to drive a late model on pavement for the Schoenfeld headers team out of Concord, NC and then Carl Edwards, seeing Steve's determination, contacted him and offered Steve a ride in his #35 USAC Silver Crown Car. The USAC series has yielded some very popular drivers such as Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne and it was the right place for Steve to make his move to asphalt. Steve's determination to succeed was evident and he took home Rookie of the Year honors in the #35 Carl Edwards/Re Technologies car during the 2008 season.

All of Arpin's success brought him to the NASCAR development team of Eddie Sharp Racing, where he drove the #20 Taylor Motorsports Toyota for the first half of the 2009 ARCA/REMAX series. Arpin wanted to win races and did not believe it could be done in the No.20 Toyota. That brought him to the top ARCA RE/MAX Series team, Venturini Motorsports, where he competed in the No.25 Taylor Motorsports Toyota for the remainder of the 2009 season and took home 7th place in ARCA National Points and also won the 2009 ARCA Most Popluar Driver Award.

Arpin's success in anything he drives, his determination, infectious personality, and rare knowledge has made him who he is today and will unquestionably take him to the top levels of NASCAR.

CAREER GOALS:
To someday be racing for a well known team at the Nextel Cup level and having the opportunity to develop my own race team that would give young drivers that can't afford it, a chance at there dreams. I already have my first driver picked out!!
