(DUQUOIN, Ill. - August 31, 2012) - Tyler Speer and the Fast Track Team have their eyes set on a top-five finish in Monday's Southern Illinois 100 presented by Federated Car Care in DuQuoin, Ill.
After running inside the top five and finishing in the seventh position at the Allen Crowe 100 in Springfield, a top five finish is a very reasonable goal. “We had a great car at Springfield and running inside the top five was a great confidence builder”, Tyler said. He added,” We were making our way back to the front at the end of the race and just ran out of time to get all the way back up front.” The Woodstock, GA native is still a rookie, but with his first top ten finish in the ARCA series he is certainly making a name for himself.
Tyler said, “ I am very excited to get back in the same car I ran at Springfield. We were pleased with our seventh place finish, but we know that we are capable of being in the top five.” Tyler spent the past weekend helping the Fast Track Racing team getting his car ready for the DuQuoin race. “We didn’t want to make a lot of changes to the car, but there were a few things that we wanted to improve.” This will be the tenth start on dirt and only his sixth start in an ARCA presented by Menards series race for the Kennesaw State University honor student. Tyler will be driving the No. 10 Fast Track, Mallory Marine, and Proboat Chevrolet.
