ARCA RACING SERIES - RACE 12 OF 20- Chicagoland Speedway
TRACK FACTS: Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., is a $130 million, 1.5-mile, D-shaped, tri-oval speedway that annually hosts the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. Chicagoland Speedway sits on 930 acres of land, which is large enough to accommodate 42 United Centers (home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks).
JARED ON NEW TRACK/NEW CAR: “This is my first actual 1.5 mile track, last month I raced Pocono and Michigan and they are different from Chicagoland Speedway. Last year I came here with the team and they had their best finish with Maryeve Dufault behind the wheel. Hopefully we can use some of what we learned last year and use again this year on our new car. I know my guys will unload a fast car for me, we just have to be there at the end.”
TEAM TMR AT CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY: Chicagoland Speedway landed Team TMR it first top 10 speedway racein 2011. Bringing a new chassis to the track this weekend will be interesting enough for their rookie driver; this will also be the first appearance for Jared on this very fast 1.5 mile track. Jared is always up for a challenge and has the confidence that his crew chief Wayne Carroll and crew give him a great car each week.
TMR CHASSIS #012: This 110” chassis is brand new for Team TMR this weekend.
JARED FAST FACTS: Still holding steady at 13th in points standings, earning 5-top 10’s and 3-top 20’s.
JARED FUN FACTS: Jared will be making various surprise appearances Thursday afternoon to meet and greet fans at retailers who carry the Premium Energy VIP products in the greater Chicagoland area. RACE INFORMATION: A single practice session will start the on track action on Friday, July 20 from 6:05 - 7:35 p.m. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is scheduled for Saturday morning, July 21 at 9:30 a.m. The Ansell ActivArmr® 150 follows at 4 p.m. SPEED will be broadcasting the race live at 4:00 PM-all times are local (CT). Live timing and scoring for the weekend event will also be available at arcaracing.com.
