(BERWICK, Pa. - June 26, 2012) - Steve Fox, a part-time competitor in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, has landed a ride for the upcoming event this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Fox has teamed up with team owner Wayne Peterson and will pilot the No. 0 car in the All-American Race Weekend presented by Global Barter Corporation.
This will mark the first road course start for Fox in ARCA, but he has competed on these types of tracks with success, mainly in the SCCA Series. It will also be his first time on the Thunderbolt road course at NJMP.
“I’m happy that Wayne is giving me this shot”, noted Fox. “Wayne and I have been friends for years and I’ve occasionally driven for him in the past. It’s one of those deals that you can’t pass up and anytime I have an opportunity to jump into a ride to run ARCA Series, I’m ecstatic about it.”
New Jersey Motorsports Park is located in Millville, NJ and is within easy driving distance of Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Qualifying for the race is slated to begin at 4:30 PM EST on Saturday and the green flag will drop on the 150-lap event at 1 PM EST on Sunday, July 1.
