ARCA RACING SERIES - RACE 7 OF 20 –POCONO RACEWAY
TRACK FACTS: Also known as The Tricky Triangle; there have been 53 ARCA races ran since 1983 on this 2.5-mile newly repaved superspeedway; 16 races have been won by the pole.
JARED GETTING TO HIS FIRST SPEEDWAY START: “I can’t wait to get on track at Pocono. I recently turned 18 and this is my first track over a mile that I get to race on. Since this is my first time at Pocono the new surface will be all I know, and it should have lots of grip. I plan on utilizing practice the best I can to get comfortable and gain experience on this track, it’s not like the standard oval so it should be fun to race on.”
TEAM TMR ON POCONO RACEWAY: Crew Chief Wayne Carroll comments, “In 2011 the team had a 12th and 13th place finish with a different driver. I feel really good about what we are going to accomplish there this weekend. This is Jared’s first speedway race and we are really excited to see what he has for them, the new surface and the changes ARCA has made to the cars here will have most of us on the same level, not many of us came to test.”
Kyle Busch holds the qualifying record 52.676seconds/170.849mph.
TMR CHASSIS #004: She’s back…the Drag Wagon rides again. This 110” TMR chassis is a favorite of Jared’s.
JARED FAST FACTS: Currently sitting 10th in points. Acquiring 3-top 10’s and a top 20 out of the four races he has been able to compete in due to the age restriction rules set in place by the series.
RACE INFORMATION: Schedule of events for the Pocono 200 begins Friday, June 8th. The first round of practice begins at 10:00-11:50AM, followed by Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell at 2:05PM and final practice is from 5:10-6:00PM. The start of the Pocono ARCA 200 is at 1:30PM, all times are local. The race will be televised on SPEED (SDD) beginning at 2:30PM with live timing and scoring for the weekend events available at arcaracing.com.
WEEKEND APPEARANCE: Jared will be making an appearance and signing autographs for a special Kids Day at the track event located in the chalet area on Saturday, June 9th from 9:45-10:30AM.
